| Objectives |
|

Please
join us as we mark the 30th anniversary of the Midwinter
Symposium on Practical Surgical Challenges in
Otolaryngology.
This
premier meeting, the first otolaryngology meeting of its
type, consistently draws an enthusiastic audience, both
nationally and internationally.
Each year’s meeting is designed to reflect current,
state-of-the-art, practical information on the management of
surgical problems in major areas in the specialty of
otolaryngology. Individual presentations are complemented by
panel presentations and group discussions.
Our objective is that participants leave each symposium
better equipped to address the practical surgical challenges
that face them in the practice of otolaryngology and better
able to:
This
year’s program will feature more speakers and a wider
variety of topics than ever before. In
addition to our distinguished clinical faculty, well-known
medical practice consultant Karen Zupko, of KarenZupko &
Associates, will return to offer special presentations on
practice management.
We look forward to welcoming back those of you who join us
in Snowmass each year, and welcoming for the first time
those who will be new acquaintances in 2006. An exceptional
faculty and program, an exceptional venue, and our 30th
anniversary—we hope you won’t miss it! |

Located in the heart of the Colorado Rockies, approximately
200 miles west of Denver and 10 miles from Aspen, Snowmass
is one of the largest and finest ski areas in North America.
Eighteen lifts provide access to over 3,000 acres of ski
terrain, with a capacity of over 24,000 skiers per hour.
Elevations are 8,105 to 12,510 feet, with a vertical rise of
4,406 feet.

A variety of slopes are
available to challenge every level of skier and snowboarder,
with 20% categorized as expert, 18% as most difficult, 55%
as more difficult, and 7% as easiest. Long, groomed
intermediate runs offer unparalleled cruising, while experts
can experience back-country terrain. Lift tickets are
valid at all four Aspen Skiing Company ski areas - Snowmass,
Aspen, Aspen highlands, and Buttermilk.

Designed
as a ski-in, ski-out resort, most of the lodges in Snowmass
are slope-side and nearly everything is within easy walking
distance. A total resort, Snowmass offers miles of
cross-country ski trails; heated outdoor swimming pools;
sleigh, dog sled, and hot air balloon rides; and child care
centers. Convenient, free shuttle buses run throughout
the village, and free skier shuttles serve the four-mountain
ski area
throughout the day.
